🧭 DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY

Day 1 — Arrival → check-in → the resort’s “first breath”

  • 🏁 Upon arrival, check in and do a “gentle adaptation”: a short walk from the hotel along the lakes and shady alleys to the thermal complex. The goal for the day is to feel Sárvár’s rhythm, regulate sleep and hydration (plain water, without overdoing the thermal baths).

  • 🍽️ Dinner — light: no excess salt or alcohol. Tomorrow we’ll start measured bathing and unhurried health walks in the park.

Day 2 — Sárvár Spa thermal complex: getting acquainted + arboretum

  • 💧 Morning — Sárvári Gyógy- és Wellnessfürdő: 2–2.5 hours with breaks. Start with warm pools and contrasts “sauna → cool shower → rest”. Between rounds — mandatory rest on a lounger.

  • 🌳 After lunch — Sárvár Arboretum (18th–19th c., centuries-old plane trees and oaks): a leisurely loop along the paths, contemplation and photo stops. 60–90 minutes at a “conversational pace” is the ideal aerobic load without climbs.

Day 3 — Thermal day: “light treatments” + relaxing by the lakes

  • 🧖 Continue getting to know the thermal baths: hydro-massage zones, the “lazy river”, musical sauna performances (if scheduled). No more than 15–20 minutes in hot pools at a time; between cycles — rest and still water.

  • 🏞️ During the day — a loop around Csónakázó-tó (boating lake): level paths, water views, a tea café by the shore. A photo day without overloading the knees.

Day 4 — Nádasdy Castle (museum) + the old part of town

  • 🏰 Nádasdy-vár: halls with frescoes and collections on the town’s hussar history — an intimate cultural pause among the “water” days. After that — a walk around Várkörület and coffee on the square.

  • 🫁 The day’s breathing logic: 1–1.5 hours of unhurried walking around town + a short evening visit to the thermal baths to relax the back and shoulders.

Day 5 — “Water + forest”: morning in the thermal baths, then park trails

  • 💦 Morning — targeted zones in the thermal baths: hydromassage for the neck-and-shoulder area, Kneipp paths for the feet, a warm pool for the lower back.

  • 🌿 After lunch — shady alleys along the western edge of the arboretum and the city park: 6–8 thousand steps at an even pace, with 2–3 “bench” breaks.

Day 6 — “A day without haste”: thermal campus, sauna world, and reading

  • 🧘 Repeat your favorite thermal zones, add 1–2 short sauna rounds with contrast and longer rest pauses. The idea of the day is to restore the nervous system: water + silence + a book.

  • 🍵 In the evening — herbal tea and an early night: tomorrow is the final “looping” of the route.

Day 7 — Finale: “favorite places” + a short museum touch

  • 📷 Morning — one more unhurried loop through the arboretum or around the lake (depending on how you feel), then 60–90 minutes in the thermal baths.

  • 🎟️ If you want to “dot the i’s” — drop by one of the museum’s permanent exhibitions in the castle (a short visit) and finish the tour with a walk to the water. Packing without haste.
