🧭 DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY

Day 1 — Arrival, check-in, and the “first promenade”

  • 🏁 After the journey — a calm rhythm: check in, drink warm tea, and take a walk along the Teplá riverfront on Stará Louka → to the Vřídelní (Hot Spring) Colonnade. The town is compact, the air is pine-scented, the promenades are wide — it’s the perfect “warm-up” after a flight.

  • 🧘 Adaptation hack: on the first evening, don’t chase springs and treatments. Early dinner, warmth, sleep. Tomorrow we’ll start the drinking cure in measured doses.

Day 2 — Drinking cure: Vřídelní Colonnade → Market and Park Colonnades

  • 💧 In the morning — the Vřídelní Colonnade: in the hall there are jugs with Vřídlo water at different temperatures. Start with small amounts (as you feel) and a “conversational” walking pace between the colonnades.

  • 🏛️ Walking loop: Vřídelní → Market (wooden, in “Swiss” style) → Park (in Dvořák Gardens). Even alleys, shade, benches — the ideal mode of “therapeutic walking without overload.”

Day 3 — Mill Colonnade + terrain path along the Teplá

  • ⛲ The Mill Colonnade is the largest in town; under its vaults there are five springs at once. After tasting — an unhurried loop along the embankment toward Lázně III, with pauses by gazebos and little bridges.

  • 🫁 Breathing cue: walk so you can calmly speak in full sentences. Any “pulse acceleration” is a signal to slow down.

Day 4 — Diana: funicular → observation tower → forest trails

  • 🚡 From the lower station by Grandhotel Pupp — take the funicular to the Diana tower (≈5 minutes). At the top — a panorama of rooftops and bends of the Teplá, a “butterfly house,” a restaurant, and a network of forest trails (you can walk down via a gentle serpentine).

  • 📷 A “slow day”: one panorama + one forest walk + a long café break. In the evening — quiet and sleep.

Day 5 — Culture and crafts: Jan Becher Museum → Moser glassworks

  • 🥃 Jan Becher Museum: a short tour through the history of the famous liqueur and the old production. For drivers and minors — a tour without tasting.

  • 🪟 Moser visitor center: museum + viewing the artistic glass workshops (by schedule). This is “the other side” of Karlovy Vary — craftsmanship, the heat of furnaces, and crystal collections.

Day 6 — Parks and water: Dvořák Gardens + free time

  • 🌿 Dvořák Gardens are a green corridor between Thermal and the Park Colonnade. Perfect for a chill day: loungers, benches, shade, and flat terrain.

  • 💧 Depending on how you feel — repeat a “small dose” of the drinking cure at a convenient colonnade. In the evening — a warm shower, a sensations journal, a light menu.

Day 7 — Final promenade + favorite spots

  • 🎯 Gather “your” places: return to the Mill or Vřídelní Colonnade, one more short forest trail, or a ride on the Imperial cable car up to the upper terrace (and back down — unhurried).

  • 🧳 Packing without fuss: hydration — as you feel; food — light; travel — with a time buffer. The tour’s effect is built from routine and gentle loads.
