🧭 DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY

Day 1 — Arrival, check-in, and “take in the resort air”

  • 🏁 After you arrive, check in and ease into it: a 30–40 minute unhurried walk through Arminiuspark. Narrow paths under spreading plane trees and beeches, quiet lawns, and historic corners instantly set you into the resort rhythm.

  • 💧 Stop by the Lippequelle — an emerald karst spring near the ruins of Lippspringe Castle. It’s the “heart” of the town and a perfect spot for breathing breaks.

  • 🍽️ In the evening — a light dinner and an early night. Tomorrow we start measured walking and thermal treatments.

Day 2 — Gartenschau: “flowers + forest” and first Waldbaden

  • 🌳 Gartenschau Park in Bad Lippspringe is a rare mix of flowerbeds and forest idyll (entrance from the pedestrian zone). Walk the “forest promenade” alternating sunny clearings and conifer sections: 60–90 minutes at a “talking pace,” with photo and water breaks.

  • 🧘 Waldbaden: stop at a quiet clearing, set your breathing to 4–6 cycles per minute, focus on the scent of pine needles and the sounds of the forest — 10–12 minutes of meditation gives a strong relaxation effect.

  • ♨️ After lunch — Westfalen-Therme (Salinarium): 30–40 minutes in the warm saltwater pool + 10 minutes relaxing by the indoor graduation tower (no overheating).

Day 3 — Planetenweg + salty relaxation

  • 🪐 The “Planetenweg” starts at Arminiuspark: an educational trail about the Solar System along the resort’s gentle paths. Perfect for 6–7 thousand steps without elevation changes, with benches and views of the spa forest.

  • 💦 During the day — repeat the Salinarium at the thermal baths: a short floating session (in highly mineralized water the body naturally stays on the surface) and a Vichy shower/ice-cold shower as contrast.

  • 🫁 Focus of the day: not to “get tired,” but to “saturate” your breathing with clean air and give the body a gentle load.

Day 4 — Kaiser Karls Park and Jordanquelle

  • 👑 Morning — Kaiser Karls Park: wide walking alleys, shady sections, and floral compositions. It’s easy to get 60 minutes of walking here with small inclines.

  • 💧 Jordanquelle (Jordan Spring): an intimate karst basin in the neighboring Jordanpark. The damp, cool microclimate by the water is a bonus for breathing practices. Do a short loop around the park and return for lunch.

  • 🌙 In the evening — a warm foot bath/salt inhalation room at the hotel (if available) + early sleep.

Day 5 — Spa forest (Kurwald): forest “baths” + picnic

  • 🌲 Kurwald Bad Lippspringe (200+ hectares): choose a flat 4–6 km loop. Format — “listen to the forest”: 20 min walking → 5–7 min of still rest on a bench, eyes on the tree crowns. Repeat 3–4 cycles.

  • 🥗 Picnic in a clearing: a thermos of herbal tea, light snacks, and a blanket. Afterward — 20 minutes of a relaxed walk to the exit. In the evening — a short warm pool/jacuzzi at Westfalen-Therme.

  • ✅ The logic of the week: we alternate forest and water, increasing time in fresh air without overload.

Day 6 — Culture and history: Heimatmuseum + promenade

  • 🏺 Heimatmuseum “Haus Hartmann” at Kirchplatz 1 — the resort’s local history: from karst springs to the spa era. Small, cozy, and very “local” collection, perfect for a calm day.

  • 🕍 After the museum — a loop through the old lanes to Arminiuspark and the Lippequelle: 45–60 minutes of an unhurried promenade, coffee on a terrace, and an absolute “slow day.”

Day 7 — Favorite places + final thermal baths

  • 🎞️ Morning “reframe”: return to the part of Gartenschau/the spa forest where your body responds best. 45–60 minutes on the paths without rushing, a keepsake photo by the garden’s green walls.

  • ♨️ Final session at Westfalen-Therme: 20–30 minutes in the saltwater pool + 5–8 minutes on a warm lounger and a shower. Pack up and depart — unhurried.
